“New Level Sports Ministries (NLSM) are soliciting (5) separate bids from Professional Contractors.

1. BID 2.3: Commercial Kitchen Hood w/Fire Suppression and Makeup Air Unit (AC & Heating)
2. BID 2.4: Sanctuary Floor Repairs
3. BID 2.5: Kitchen Wall move including utilities
4. BID 2.6: Storefront & Canopy including utilities
5. BID 2.8: Sanctuary HVAC System and Vestibule Unit Heater

All renovation work is to be done at 400 Michigan Ave. Battle Creek MI, which is owned and is being used for childcare support activities. Written and sealed bids are invited and received from experienced Contracting Construction firms in response to a Request for Bid (RFB) document. The scope of services includes providing construction services as defined in each of the RFBs.

Funding for the early learning childhood center is expected to come from a variety of sources, including NLSM directly, private lenders, philanthropic donations, and funding from the City of Battle Creek (the, “City”). The City funds come from a federal allocation coming from the U.S. Department of Treasury via the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021/ ARPA and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development/ HUD via the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). As a beneficiary, NLSM, and its hired contractors, vendors and suppliers are responsible for following all requirements tied to the federal funds provided by the City.

The Request for Bids (RFB) will be made available for download on the NLSM website (www.newlevelsports.org) beginning on August 24, 2026. See each Request for Bid (RFB) documents regarding when written and sealed Bids will be received by NLSM. All Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. All bids will then be further evaluated and certified to meet all the Request for Bids requirements by NLSM to select and award the most responsive bidder.”
